I'm MOVING!!!

Please come to my new blog and follow me there!

Kyle and I decided recently that we've mastered the art of condo living and it's time to move on.

Somebody Loved - that's what I am, if you were wondering. And it's my new blog!

It's time to move on from weddings (after a lengthy recap of my own of course), learning to live in a condo (yes - it takes some learning... condos are tight on space!), and nursing school... my new blog will still feature the pug dog (of course) and the most current goings on in Kyle and my life. I plan to discover some new hobbies, get back to some old ones, and cultivate my nursing career in the new blog.

I hope you'll make the move with me.

Out of Town Gift Bags

My Mom and I put together gift bags for our guests coming from out of town. It was a mix of people who had never been to Portland before and family who were returning. Because of those unfamiliar with Portland we put in a few guides for places to eat. Kyle and I also put in our recommendations, with our favorite Portland activities, restaurants, and attractions.

These are the personalized sheets that then went into a diagonal pocket fold card from Paper Source:

Our miscellaneous information had our contact numbers, taxi and transportation info, and local shopping.

Those all went into this:
The front cover:
Then that package of information went into a bag with water, cookies, granola bars, and other snacks.
I remember chowing down on all these things after some weddings in the hotel room, so I hope everyone was glad to have them!

For the Kids

More details...

I saw the cute idea of having wedding coloring books at the reception for the kids, so I also put together a little tin of goodies for them. I got the tins at Ikea and spray painted them brown, then filled them with snacks and crayons.

The coloring book & tin were placed at their seat, hopefully it kee the little ones busy.

A Nice Suprise

Have you ever heard of these? They are charm necklaces that come on cute papers with wishes. They have all different occasions. I had been considering them for different wedding gifts because I've always loved them. Check them out here.

So imagine my surprise when Sandi, Kyle's Mom, gave me this one. I didn't even know they had a "Daughter To Be" one, which made it even better.

Thanks Sandi!

Dog for Hire

No - not mine.

This one - Olive Harris
No really - he has a website, you can hire him.

Found here.

I first saw him here and fell in love with the idea of dogs beings involved in weddings. Why not share your important day with your most important canine friend?
